Johne's results are in and they are all NEGATIVE!!!
I have always loved goats...the are so comical and a joy to own. When I first had my daughter, I had a pair of Pygmy crosses with horns. As she started toddling, the pair would knock her down and I started to worry about them hurting her so I found them a home. We were without goats for a year until I came across My Own Private Idaho's website and I fell in love. Now after making many new friends and with many goats, we have our starter herd. Thank you to all of my friends out there that have helped us get to where we are today! My daughter decided she wanted "the big goats with little ears" so now we also have LaManchas at our home. We hope to do as well with them as we do our little goats.
Frenchie & FeFe ~ our goat guardians
Nigerians are a dwarf dairy goat capable of providing a wonderful amount of milk. Being so small in stature, they are perfect for people who don't have the acreage to hold many large goats. Also, they are great for children to start out in 4H with...they are easy to handle and with their awesome personalities a joy to own.
Due to the fact that we decided to raise Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats...WE DO NOT WANT THE HEIGHT FOR BUCKS INCREASED!!!
We have found that our LaManchas have even BIGGER personalities than our little goats do. These big goats are very gentle and easy to work with...very laid back!
